Course Title: 3 Days Common Induction Training
Who are these courses for?
A three day Common Induction Course designed for people entering social care work and those changing roles or employers within adult social care. We have set out the areas of knowledge that care workers need to know before they can work unsupervised. The standards are not set at any particular qualification level, but certification of competence will be issued upon successful completion of the course.

Learning Objectives:
• Understand the need to promote values such as rights, individuality, choice and independence.
• Understand your responsibilities as outlined by the GSCC code of practice for Social Care Workers.

Personal development
Communicate effectively
Equality and Inclusion
Principles for implementing duty of care
Principles of safeguarding in health and social care
Person-centred support
Health and safety in an adult social care setting

Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, the learner will have to update knowledge and understanding of the work practices that support the care, safety and well-being of the individuals they work with.
