Course program

This one day masterclass extends the students skill set with a technique for mounting non-fireable stones in Art Clay Silver (ACS) or Precious Metal Clay (PMC). The course normally lasts for about 6 hours and will teaches how to create a setting that is suitable for all types of non-fireable flat-backed cabochons regardless of shape or size. In a second project, students also learn how to embellish their work with a pearl setting. The cost of the course includes 20g of Art Clay Silver, findings and the use of all tools needed. Students need to supply their own choice of cabochon (which can be glass as well as gemstone) but pearls will be provided. Students also receive a bound set of workshop notes to keep.
