Course Outline:
This course is packed with loads of practical ideas and is intended for anyone who either has
responsibility for designing and delivering effective activity sessions for older people or anyone
who recognises the benefits to be gained by organising this type of session. The day explores
the essentials of effective activity programming, culminating in the opportunity for participants to
put their learning into practice.
Course Objectives:
Within the sessions learners will cover:
• the effects of ageing
• old age, care homes and occupation
• the role of the Activity Coordinator
