| Requirements: | The Water Regulations & Water Byelaws course is designed for experienced plumbers and heating engineers. It is a pre-requisite for the Solar Thermal and Heat Pump courses. Candidates should already be able to fit and install copper pipework and have a basic knowledge of domestic hot and cold pipework. |

Course program
The BPEC Water Regulations and Water Byelaws training courses have been developed in collaboration with WRAS, the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme for England and Wales and are targeted at individuals who wish to carry out work with their local water company. Successful candidates are encouraged to join WIAPS –WRAS’s Approved Plumbers Scheme, which will let them carry out work without having to be approved by their local water company.

Introduction, background and legislation
The Water Regulations
Black flow prevention
Cold Water Services
Hot Water Services
WCs and Urinals
Materials and substances in contact with water
Requirements for water fittings
Water System Design
Installation Commissioning
Cross Connections
Sanitary Appliances and water for outside use
Assessment
An examination will take place at the end of the BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Training Course and subject to passing this, candidates will then be awarded BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Certification.
Certification
Following successful completion of the BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Training Course, you will receive a BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Certificate and BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws ID card. You will then be able to proceed with your MCS Accreditation with the support of Easy MCS.
Course Materials
Prior to attending the BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Training Course you will have access to course materials and then you will receive your own BPEC Water Regulations & Byelaws Training manual on the day of the course.
