• Increased safety of employees

Discussion - Group Experience
Introductory discussion to establish experience of group members, to identify potential hazards and examine aspects of driving which they like or dislike. The course leader will develop this into an examination of what the group’s perception of Defensive Driving is and will explore the possible benefits of driving in a way which anticipates & compensates for risks by approaching hazards in a systematic way. Examples of typical “minor” accidents experienced by the fleet and the associated cost can be used to demonstrate the savings which can be achieved by a more considered approach.
How Accidents Happen
A discussion led by the trainer to explore the principal factors which contribute to accidents both on and off road highlighting the central role of human error.
