Course program
This train-the-trainer looks at the difficult issue of DoLS (Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards). Restricting the liberty of an individual for their own safety while complying with the law.
Illegal restraint as well as legal restraint are reviewed making this course valuable in the protection of the individual concerned as well as the care home/ hospital and the individual carer.
The Mental Health Act as it pertains to DoLS is reviewed as is the process and procedures of DOLS, including inappropriate referrals.
