Course program
For those who have attended the ‘First Steps in Etching’ course, or those who have some previous experience of etching, learn the basics of aquatint, and experiment with techniques such as sugarlift and spit-bite to create vibrant, expressive prints. We will be using zinc plates and etching with copper sulphate.

Based in Mirfield, the West Yorkshire Print Workshop is an open access printmaking facility.
We also run a regular programme of specialist printmaking courses and other related activities including arts and crafts activities and workshops for young people. We support artists and creative businesses by providing printmaking facilities, affordable studio spaces and exhibiting opportunities for members.
WYPW is a registered charity (no. 1010125) and a Regularly Funded Organisation of the Arts Council, England. We welcome any offers of voluntary assistance and sponsorship from the private and business sectors.
