This course is for anyone who wants to make there own videos and post them on YouTube/Vimeo or other websites.
The new Apple FCPX editing system will help enable anyone to edit their own footage and produce good quality results.
Apple FXP X is available to download from the Apple Store.
Whether you are looking to produce content for your website, edit your own home movies or even produce your own film and this is the course for you.
A basic knowledge of Mac OS X, computer navigation is recommended.
Course Detail:
As well as getting an overview of how to use the software the course covers how to get your footage out of the camera and how to export your final films and post them on your website or sites such as you tube and vimeo. We also give you tips about the craft of editing and how to shots that will edit together.
This course is taught by the same trainers who teach the professionals and is suitable for people with no previous editing experience. Our trainers walk you through the process step by step.
During the course each student has the use of a computer and software in a classroom environment with a maximum of 12 students per class.
At the end of the course you will have learnt how to:-
Export your footage from a camera, either tape or file based.
Install and Launch FCPX.
Create a project and timelines.
Manage your footage and select the best shots.
Film shots that will edit together well.
Edit your footage, including using dissolves and other transitions.
Adjust the colour and brightness and match the colour of different shots.
Apply special effects and captions to your film.
Correct camera exposure setting errors.
Edit and mix your audio and add sound effects and music.
This will save you weeks of teaching yourself and also give you valuable insights into how the professionals work and invaluable short cuts and good working practices. There is no substitute for professional training especially at the early stages
