| Geared towards: | EMPLOYERS:If you are an employer who has members of staff aged between 16 to 24 looking to complete their QCF Level 2, Mercia College can offer this to you fully funded. If the members of staff are aged 25 or above, we can put them on an interest list so that as soon as more funding becomes available we can also offer this QCF fully funded to these too. If you are an employer interested in taking on an apprentice, Mercia College can help you find a suitable apprentice for your Care Home. EMPLOYEES:If you are employed, aged between 16 to 24 looking to complete your QCF Level 2, Mercia College can offer this to you full funded. If you are aged 25 or above, we can put you on an interest list so that as soon as more funding becomes available we can also offer you fully funded QCFs as well. |
| Requirements: | No minimum GCSE grades required. An apprenticeship is a vocational qualification where you learn while you work. Level 2 is for operational level staff, for example; hair dressers assistants, hair barbers assistants. |

- Ensure responsibility for actions to reduce risks to Health and
Safety
- Give customers a positive impression of yourself and your
organisation
- Advise and consult with clients
- Shampoo, condition to treat hair and scalp
- Change hair colour
- Style and finish hair
- Set and dress hair
- Cut hair using basic techniques
Please note, an assessor from Mercia College will come to visit the apprentice once a month to check they are progressing and meeting industry standards. The certificatoin of completion will be released once all entire training course has been completed.
