You will be taken through all the steps required to make your own panel so that you have had good step by step understanding of the processes so that you can then practice these techniques on your own. |

Course program
This practical course is aimed at beginners who want to learn the fundamental techniques of leaded stained glass. Each attendee will complete a leaded stained glass panel to take home at the end of the day.
Course Content
· Cutting glass to fit a design,
· Fitting the glass and lead together into the design
· Soldering the lead
· Cementing the finished panel
You can choose between the 1 day course and the 2 day course, both of which will take you through the steps required to make your leaded stained glass panel. On the 1 day course you will make a smaller, simpler panel. With the longer 2 day course you will go through each process in more detail, produce your own design and will have more time to practice each technique as you will make a larger panel with a more complex design.
You will be led through each step required to complete your panel and with a small class size of a maximum of 4 students, you will receive lots of support and attention from the tutor.
The course fee is fully inclusive of all materials, refreshments and lunch.
Courses commence at 9:30am and aim to finish at 5pm (the finish time has some flexibility to allow you to finish your panel if you are taking a little longer to complete each step).
Available as a gift voucher.

Wicked Gen Crafts
Genevieve Thompson is a glass artist based in Halifax, West Yorkshire and works with stained glass, fused glass and mosaics. She runs courses from her workshop in Halifax to introduce people to the techniques required to produce their own glass work. All the courses are technical, hands-on, practical workshops with the aim of inspiring people to be excited and creative with the medium of glass.
As well as running her own courses, Genevieve also invites other artists to run courses at her workshop.
