Course program
Ideal for the complete beginner or those with a little riding experience, this one-to-one Introductory Course will, over six one-hour sessions, provide a thorough grounding in basic horsemanship. Riders will learn the correct position, along with the control and balance needed to further their riding skills confidently and safely. Theory topics will help promote understanding of and empathy with the horse.
This course is available Tuesday to Friday at 9,10.15, 11.30 or 2pm.

Wimbledon Village Stables
Wimbledon Village Stables is a family run British Horse Society and ABRS Approved Riding School offering riding lessons for all ages and abilities as well as escorted rides on Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park. Our team of qualified riding instructors looks after the 25 horses and ponies stabled here in the middle of Wimbledon Village behind the Dog & Fox. Regular riders can benefit by becoming Members and enjoying discounted prices and also have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of activities including short courses, dressage training and stable management lessons as well as a variety of social and educational events. We offer a bespoke Livery service – Members keeping a horse stabled with us know we take care of all aspects of their horse’s daily needs. Training is given towards BHS Exams for those wanting to follow an equestrian career, while work experience placements are also available.
