| Prepares for: | Anybody that is an experienced NVQ Assessor to become an Internal Verifier. It is also suitable for managers wishing to take a quality assurance lead without any NVQ Assessing experience. |

| Requirements: | 1. Learners MUST be 19 years or older. 2. You need to have a good level of Literacy in order to complete assignments accurately 3. Be I.T Literate and have access to a computer with broadband connection, printer and scanner. 4. Hold an Assessor Award / Certificate, and have been practising as an assessor for at least 12 months (not applicable for the Award in understanding the process and practice of assessment) 5. Be registered with an awarding body as an IV or Moderator 6. Be in a position of a Lead Internal Verifier (for the Certificate qualification only) |

Course program
The QCF IQA Internal Verifier Certificate is the new V1 Internal Verifier Award. The V1 Internal Verifier Award was phased out and replaced on the 31st December 2010.
The QCF IQA Internal Verifier Certificate has 3 different units, which can potentially form 3 seperate qualifications.
The qualification you need will depend on your job role.
The 3 qualifications are as follows:
Award in understanding the internal quality assurance of assessment process and practice - £350
The Edexcel Level 4 Award in Understanding the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a 6 credit and 45 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification that consists of 1 mandatory unit.
This is a knowledge only unit for those who want to know about internal quality assurance, for example managers, team leaders, those new to quality assurance and verification, or for moderators that are responsible for the quality assurance of college based training programmes where a full IV / IQA qualification is not required.
The award is completed by Distance Learning through our Virtual Learning Environment. You will be fully supported by a Tutor throughout the duration of your course via email & telephone.
You do not have to be registered to an NVQ assessment centre or college / training provider to complete this award.
PLEASE NOTE: This award does NOT qualify you to conduct Quality Assurance on NVQ type programmes.
Award in the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practice- £600
The Edexcel Level 4 Award in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a 12 credit and 90 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification consisting of 2 mandatory units.
This Award is for those who internally quality assure NVQ assessors and assessment, but who do not manage the centre or other internal quality assurers.
The award is completed by Distance Learning through our Virtual Learning Environment. You will be fully supported by a Tutor throughout the duration of your course via email & telephone.
PLEASE NOTE: This award does NOT qualify you to lead teams of IQA's / Internal Verifiers.
Certificate in leading the internal quality assurance of assessment processes and practice - £650
The Edexcel Level 4 Certificate in Leading the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice is a 17 credit and 115 guided learning hour qualification consisting of 3 mandatory units.
This Award is for those who have wider quality assurance responsibilities and manage other Internal Verifiers / IQA's, develop policies or manage External Quality Assurance (EQA) visits. This is a qualification for Lead Internal Quality Assurers. This qualification is most like the previous V1 Internal Verifier Award.
The award is completed by Distance Learning through our Virtual Learning Environment. You will be fully supported by a Tutor throughout the duration of your course via email & telephone.
