Course program

This Masterclass takes a wider view of the dialogue between public bodies and communities. Its focus is on the clarifying the roles of officers and elected members in the light of recent legislation encouraging greater public involvement. Although developed before the change of Government – and the recent Localism agenda, it has been extensively re-worked for 2011 to take full account of recent developments. It also picks up many themes from the Big Society and is therefore relevant not just to local authorities but all local service providers including the Police, the NHS and the community/voluntary sectors.
