Course program

This 5 day course is designed to provide middle management with a comprehensive range of strategies that will enable them to lead their teams to success. It starts with a focus on building relationships enabling us to get more from our interactions through mutual understanding and trust. We then become organised and learn how to manage; time, workloads, minor conflict and how to delegate authority using the ACE Manager model. We acquire effective communication skills by removing deletions, distortions and generalisations from our communication and learn how to become an active listener with our EARS model. Our strategies to evaluate and enhance performance include: people, systems (Ideal Tote), feedback and decision making skills. We also learn how to plan for success and a well formed outcome.

A MIDDLE MANAGEMENT COURSE FOR PEOPLE WHO ASPIRE TO SET NEW STANDARDS

This 5 day course is designed to provide middle management with a comprehensive range of strategies that will enable them to lead their teams to success. It starts with a focus on building relationships. We learn; why we all view the world so differently, the reasons for our behaviour, what motivates us to action and how we break down the barriers of personal defence mechanisms in order to influence behaviour. We put things in context and apply proven strategies to build relationships and gain mutual understanding and trust.

We become organised and learn how to manage time more effectively. We apply the Figurehead PRINCE model to effectively organise and prioritise the workload. We learn how to define responsibility and reduce minor conflict with the Meta Mirror. We evaluate different styles of management and when we can use each most effectively. We learn how to delegate authority with confidence by using the ACE Manager model.

We acquire effective communication skills by simply ensuring our communications are always a two-way process and then gain knowledge in how to select the correct medium to convey our message with meaning. We apply strategies to elicit the full meaning of a communication by gathering information and clarifying the deletions, distortions and generalisations. We assimilate knowledge and deliver the EARS strategy for active listening. The nonverbal communication strategies we deliver are taught to enhance face to face liaisons.

We learn numerous strategies to evaluate performance. These strategies include people, contracts, comparison and research. We also begin to comprehend the power of The IDEAL TOTE model. This strategy is used for evaluating any process and produces professional analysis of systems. We focus on feedback that will lead the team to greater success and we consider the decision making process. We learn about the 3 pillars that support the decision making process and how they interact with different strategies and risk management.

We also learn how to plan for success and a ‘well formed outcome’ with the PRECISE model.
