Course program
NICEIC Solar PV Training
This comprehensive course is designed to provide delegates with the necessary technical skills and underpinning knowledge of Solar PhotoVoltaic Systems.
This course is specifically designed for practicing electricians with electrical installation and testing experience who are seeking to obtain the skills in the surveying, planning, design and the installation techniques for Solar Photovoltaic Systems.
This course will benefit both electrical contracting companies and/or individuals alike, who are seeking registration with a Micro Generation Certification (MCS) scheme provider.
Delegates who wish to attend this course are required to have a successful pass in a 17th Edition qualification (for example, a City and Guilds 2382-10 or City and Guilds 2382-20) and a successful pass in either the City and Guilds 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection, Testing & Initial Verification of Electrical Installations or a successful pass in City and Guilds 2391-10 Periodic Inspection & Testing; Certification of Electrical Installations.
A requirement of the certification for this course, is that delegates will be required to attend a separate 1 day NICEIC certification health and safety awareness course - this can be omitted if the delegate already holds a Iosh/Nebosh/Pasma certificate.
For all domestic electrical installers who are seeking to attend this course, it is a requirement of course attendance, that the delegate is registered with one of the Part P Scheme Providers (e.g. NICEIC Approved Contractor or Domestic Installer, Elecsa or NAPIT enrolled member etc) or as an alternative, delegates can show that they are seeking immediate competent person's scheme registration.
