Course program
This qualification aims to provide first aid knowledge and skills relevant for people that are caring for babies and young children under the age of 8. For example, parents, childminders and staff caring for children in pre-schools, nurseries, creches, schools, and voluntary organisations. It is also suitable for those wishing to seek employment in the childcare sector or who are studying other full time childcare programmes.
The EDI Level 2 Certificate in First Aid for those Caring for Children focuses on the first aid knowledge and skills relevant for those caring for babies and young children under the age of 8. Learners will gain an understanding of how to recognise and respond appropriately to children’s accidents, illnesses and potential risks. It enables parents to develop an understanding of how to deal with certain issues with children in any environment. This qualification also aims to develop the skills and knowledge of those wishing to seek employment in the childcare sector, or who are studying other childcare programme.
