PRINCE2: 2009 Foundation Training Course Goals
Our PRINCE2 Foundation course covers the basics of the PRINCE2 method. It is aimed at giving delegates an understanding of the philosophy behind the PRINCE2 method and preparing them for the PRINCE2 Foundation certification exam, which they sit at the end of the course.

Course Description
Our PRINCE2 Foundation is a 3 day course with the official APM Group PRINCE2 Foundation certification exam given at the end of the third day. It is expected from the participants that, additionally to the classroom training, they spend ca. 20 hours on pre-course preparation according to the trainer's instructions. The course consists of a well balanced mix of theory and practical exercises. It is led by our own PRINCE2 Approved Trainers. We are Accredited PRINCE2 Training Organisation (ATO). The course can be delivered in English, German, Czech or Slovak. The training materials are available in Czech, English, German & Slovak. The exam can be taken in English, French, German, Spanish, Czech, Danish, Polish, Slovak or one of a few other languages.

A key element of the course is the PRINCE2 process model using the PRINCE2 Trigger Map. Delegates will be shown how the model is set up, how project activities and project roles are linked together and how PRINCE2 deals with exceptions that are imminent to occur in any kind of project.
At the end of the course delegates take the PRINCE2 Foundation certification exam (if delegates want to take the PRINCE2 Practitioner exam, they have to pass the PRINCE2 Foundation exam first).
The PRINCE2 Foundation exam is aimed at measuring whether a candidate could act as an informed member of a project management team on a project using the PRINCE2 method, within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end the candidate needs to be able to show he or she understands the principles and terminology of the method, specifically:

The 7 principles, 7 themes, 7 processes, and the Product-based Planning and Quality Review techniques.
