| Prepares for: | Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (QCF) is an introductory programme suitable for all new teachers in the sector and designed as the first step for all those entering the post-16 teaching/training profession. PTL provides the minimum statutory standard for all those entering the teaching profession. Learners achieving one of the qualifications will gain a threshold Licence to Practice, which then needs to be converted into either the Certificate or Diploma to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector within five years. |

Course program
The intensive course is normally taught in 5 days which straddle a weekend, when it is envisaged that preparation for microteaching will be completed. PTLLS can be offered over a period of weeks.
