Course program

After studying at Level 1, then this course examines the concept of vulnerability and the safeguarding of vulnerable adults in a variety of situations – some of which are regulated under the Care Standards Act 2000.

You will be able to focus, in detail, on the various forms that abuse can take and develop a better understanding of who is a vulnerable adult, who the potential abusers are and the actions you must take where abuse is disclosed.

Our course will help you in analysing key legislation and regulatory frameworks surrounding inter-agency collaboration including the “No Secrets” guidance, a review of the implementation of PoVA and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) Vetting and Barring Scheme.
